Maribel Reyes
Maribel Reyes, a native of Mexico, resides in the beautiful City of Santa Ana. As a transformative leader, she empowers communities through her extensive experience in program management, community engagement, and collaboration. She has served in various communities, including Santa Ana, Oak View in Huntington Beach, Anaheim, Garden Grove and currently at El Modena in Orange. Maribel has been devoted to advancing social justice, inclusion and equity.
Recognized for her exceptional contributions, Maribel was honored as Woman of the Year in 2019 by Congressman Lou Correa for her outstanding service to the 46th Congressional District of El Modena. This accolade underscores her dedication to making a positive impact and her ability to lead and inspire others. Additionally, in 2016, she was recognized by the Orange County Immigrant Youth United for her relentless efforts in uplifting the migrant community at El Modena.
Maribel obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a concentration in Literature and a Minor in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton. Her passion for storytelling and writing led to the preservation of her own family’s migration journey at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington D.C.
Maribel’s passion for community service is deeply personal, fueling her unwavering commitment to community building and her ability to drive meaningful change.
